Life raft fell off from a Canadian Air Force helicopter and crashed through the roof of a home in Florida on 3 March 2018. At the time of the incident, house lady was on the bed talking her friend on the phone said “I kept screaming what happened? I was shocked.”.
According to local media, A 80-pound six seat life raft that had fallen onto her home was from Royal Canadian Air Force CH-146 Griffon helicopter.
The Canadian air force confirmed the incident and said the helicopter was on a training exercise when the raft detached and the investigation is underway to find the cause of the raft’s fall.
“Fortunately, the occupant narrowly escaped disaster and sustained only minor injuries,” fire Capt. William McAllister IV said.
