Bangladesh Dhaka based, US-Bangla airline aircraft crashed on landing near the International airport of Kathmandu, Nepal today at 2.20pm local time, killing at least 28 passengers.

The aircraft reported to have careened off the runway and crashed on a football field to the east of the airport and burst into flames.

There were 71 passengers and crew on board the US-Bangla Airways, Dash8-Q400 (S2-AGU) aircraft at the time of crash, and so far 20 bodies have been pulled out of the wreckage.

The officials have recovered the black box.
