The Bolivian Aviation Company (BoA) Boeing 737 plane left paved ground while on backtrack after landing at Capitán Nicolas Rojas Airport in Potosi, Bolivia on 26 february 2018.

The pilots cited poor runway condition and heavy rain for the incident. “Although, the runway is prepared (for landing), it (aircraft) suffered damages due to the inclemencies of that time” said the BoA

The BoA also said “when (the plane) making the 180-degree turn to take its parking location, one of the plane’s landing gear was trapped because part of the surface of the runway gave way.”

In contrary, local media reported that the technical problem with the aircraft prevented it from making a 180 degree turn on backtrack. and added that “aircraft maybe left a bit of the track and the tire stopped and gave way due to the weight… but when turning the pilot made a bad maneuver and went off the track,
