A disruptive passenger forced the Qantas flight QF9 from Perth to London to turn back after two hours into flight on Saturday 8 September.
The Qantas Boeing 787-9 departed Perth, Australia at 7.04 pm, had to turn back within two hours into flight, after a male passenger 32, was swearing and screaming aggressively at staff and locked himself in the toilet for about an hour.
“When he came out, he was squaring off against another passenger and sort of shouting in his face … It looked like it was going to turn into a brawl.” said a passenger..
According to Qantas, the man was greeted by Australian Federal Police when the plane touched back down at Perth Airport at 10.30pm.
Airline is seeking to recover all costs incurred due to diversion and delay.
Passengers were provided with overnight accommodation and boarded them on flight that left Perth at 12.30pm Sunday.
