Super typhoon Jebi flooded the Japan Kansai International Airport in Osaka. The runway and terminal building basement floor have been flood and more than 700 flights were canceled, along with scores of ferries and trains.
The 208 km/h strong winds pushed a 2,591-tonne tanker to crash into a bridge connecting Kansai airport with the main land. The bridge was built on a man-made island in a bay was damaged, left over 100 people stranded at the airport.
Evacuation advisories were issued for more than 1 million people as the wind and rain began picking up.
