Air New Zealand has leased airplanes from Taiwanese EVA air due to ongoing RR Trent 1000 engine issues powering Boeing 787s.

The airline is using EVA air Boeing 777-300ER on its first trans-pacific route from Auckland to Vancouver, Canada.

Durability issue in Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines, which causes the engines to wear faster than faster anticipated., and FAA has limited the distance of emergency landing limit to 60 minutes from a ‘safe diversion point’.
