F-35A Lightning II nose gear collapsed on an emergency landing at Eglin Air Force Base, U.S.A
The fifth-generation fighter on a test flight, reported a mid-air emergency and returned to the base, and its gear collapsed on landing at around 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
This is not the first time the F-35 reported nose gear issue. In 2017, Navy pilots reported that F-35C model fighter jets would bob up and down on its nose gear when being launched from a catapult.
