Singapore Air’s first A350-900ULR rolled out of the Airbus paint shop.

Singapore Air’s first Airbus A350-900ULR (ultra-long-range) was rolled out of the Airbus printshop in the carrier’s distinctive livery, today 31 July 2018.

The airline has seven A350-900ULR on order and the first Aircraft Reg 9V-SGA is scheduled to be delivered in September 2018.

The airline’s A350-900ULR will have a range of 9,700nm (17,964km), due to modified fuel system which allows increase the fuel capacity from 141,000 to 165,000 litres without the need for additional tanks.

The aircraft with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 280 tonnes, is capable of flying over 20 hours non-stop.

SIA said to deploy the aircraft in Singapore-Newark route from October 2018.
