To avoid missing his flight, an Ohio man called in a bomb threat to Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport was sentenced to four months in prison and ordered to pay a fine of $7,700.
40 year old Dana Carter called the airport several times, claiming there was a bomb on a Texas-bound United Airlines flight in October 2016. United airlines cancelled the scheduled flight due to his call, and passengers along with Carter were placed on another flight for Dallas less than two hours later. He was arrested upon his return to Cincinnati.
Carter’s attorney admitted the false threat and he was sentence to four months jail term and will be in probation for three years after the release.
