Engine malfunctions on an A319 flight FV1007 carrying Saudi football team and streaks of flames were visible behind the engine on approach to Rostov-na-Don Airport, Russia.
A Rossiya Airlines Airbus A319 flight FV1007, carrying the Saudi football team from St.Petersburg to Rostov, suffered right-hand engine malfunctions on approach to Rostov.
The team were on their way to Rostov in preparation for their second Group A match to take on Uruguay on Wednesday.
The airplane landed safely. No injuries reported.
The aircraft was initially purchased as new by American Frontier Airlines, before being bought by Russian-based Donavia in July 2013. Rossiya Airline have leased the plane since April 2016.
