Fatal small plane crash n Melbourne, Australia

A single-engine Cessna aircraft hit the power line, caught fire and crashed in a residential street near Moorabbin Airport, in Melbourne, Australia.

The plane reportedly was coming in to land at the airport, when it hit the power line and crashed.

The pilot in his 50s had been on an hour-long joy flight died on the crash.

“It was in flames when the MFB [Metropolitan Fire Brigade] arrived, the flames were put out quite quickly and there was very minor damage to a vehicle in the street,” said the acting senior sergeant Paul Edwards from Victoria Police.
