Cubana de Aviación Flight #CU972 (XA-UHZ), Boeing 737-201 owned by Damojh Airlines crashed on takeoff at Havana-José Martí International Airport, Cuba. Killing over 100 passengers onboard. Three survivors have been found.
12:08 in Santiago de Las Vegas, about 10km (6.2 miles) from Havana airport, shortly after take off.

The Boeing 737 with 105 passengers and crew took off from Havana International Airport to Frank País International Airport in the City of Holguín, Cuba on a Charter flight. During the takeoff, it apparently lost control and crashed onto the ground in Santiago de Las Vegas, about 10km from Havana airport at 12:08 local time.

The aircraft that crashed is a Being 737-201ADV built in 1979, owned by Global Air (Damojh Aerolíneas, S.A. de C.V.) of Mexico and wet-leased to Cubana de Aviación.

According to reports there are three survivors among the 105 passengers and crew members on board have been taken to local hospitals and are in critical condition. There was one infant and four children among the passengers on board.
