The prototype 001 of the Brazilian military aircraft Embraer KC-390 suffered runway excursion at Gaviao Peixoto airport (Brazil) during ground tests after two months of delay due to a previous accident.

The aircraft, an Embraer KC-390, registered PT-ZNF, went off the 4.970 meter runway during ground speed tests and came to halt on the grass.

The cause of this incident and the extent of any damage to the KC-390 was not immediately available.

The same aircraft had already experienced a major incident during a test flight on 12 October last year, and returned to test flights two months ago.

Embraer plans to deliver the first KC-390 to the Brazilian air force by the end of the year.
