Aerolineas Argentinas has grounded 15 Boeing 737 aircraft, after they were damaged by a severe hailstorm on 14 March at Buenos Aires Aeroparque airport.

The airline canceled many domestic flights until 25 March, affecting more than 3600 passenger, and temporarily suspended the sale of tickets to all domestic destinations.

13 out of 81 Aircraft were badly damaged and the engineering team was evaluating the damages. Although some of the damaged aircraft have already been inspected and repaired, the airline is waiting for the Boeing inspectors to clear the aircraft into service.

According to sources close to the airlines, some aircraft would return to service by easter holidays. Airlines deployed Airbus A330 aircraft in highly demanded routes.
